Eric:
Eric got his junior open water certification in 1983 at age 12 while living in the Philippines. Despite having some of the best diving locations in the world right at his doorstep, he was a little too young to really get excited about diving. After getting married and taking several trips to the Caribbean the dive bug bit him again. While at Peter Island in the British Virgin Islands he did a resort course and hasn’t looked back since. He took a refresher course with Sheila when she was doing her open water certification in 2008 and then went on to obtain his Advanced and Rescue Diver certifications in 2009 also. In 2010 Eric earned his Divemaster and Instructor ratings.

Sheila:
Sheila's first experience with the underwater world was when she first tried snorkeling at Peter Island in the British Virgin Islands while on her honeymoon. After her first experience snorkeling, she was hooked. During subsequent trips to the Caribbean she continued to enjoy snorkeling at every possible opportunity. At the urging of Eric, she agreed to try diving during an anniversary trip back to Peter Island. The resort course did not go so well and she never did make it underwater. After returning home, she continued to practice and after much perseverance, achieved her open water certification in 2008 and then went on to get her Advanced and Rescue Diver certifications in 2009.
